Craspedia

Inspired by the simple beauty and distinctive shape of Craspedia flowers, this original watercolor celebrates their small golden spheres rising above delicate green stems.

I was drawn to the contrast between the structured, almost geometric shape of the flowers and the lightness of the surrounding leaves and stems. Painted in warm golden tones against a soft green background, the composition is intentionally simple, allowing the flowers and the transparency of the watercolor to take center stage.

This piece reflects my love for botanical subjects and for finding beauty in the small, often overlooked details of nature.
