Sometimes, the simplest moments can become little stories of their own.
Rainy Day Friends is an original acrylic painting featuring a girl walking beneath a large blue umbrella, accompanied by a small white duck. Set against a softly painted neutral background, the scene is intentionally simple, allowing the two characters and their quiet companionship to become the focus of the painting.
The warm ochre tones of the girl's coat contrast with the deep blue umbrella, while small details such as her striped scarf and stockings and the little red ribbon around the duck's neck add a playful touch to the composition.
There is no particular story behind the scene. Instead, I wanted to create a small moment that leaves space for imagination. Where are they going? Is the duck following her, or are they simply sharing a rainy walk together?
A gentle and slightly whimsical painting about companionship, imagination and finding charm in ordinary moments.
